Dear friends - it’s a bittersweet day.
Today, we are announcing that we’ve decided to take a final bow together as The Lovelocks and move into the next season of our lives.
These things are of course never easy, but we are united and especially grateful for all that we have been able to accomplish together.
When we started this project back in late 2011, we had no idea what it would become. We knew we loved hanging out and singing together, but little did we know, we were embarking on an adventure of a lifetime.
7 years ago, if you had told us that we would create 3 studio albums and 1 live album, we wouldn’t have believed you. If you had told us that we would have the opportunity to perform everywhere from the biggest festival stages across Canada, to the most intimate of house concerts, we would have given you an eyebrow raise. If you had told us that we would tour around the world, from Kuwait, to France, to Ukraine, to the Bluebird Café in Nashville, to every nook and cranny across Canada, we would have laughed. If you had told us that our songs would be on the radio or that we would win a CCMA or a CMAO award, our jaws would have hit the ground. If you had told us we would journey through the best and worst of times together, navigating this tough industry all the while having a blast through it all, we never would have understood what we were signing up for. But we’re so glad we are able to look back now and say that we did it. And we did it well. We put ourselves out there, we always had each other’s back, and we received a ton of love and support from you, for which we are so grateful. As we say goodbye, we do so with our heads held high. Proud of the work. Proud of the music. Proud of each other.
This hasn’t been an easy decision for either of us. We love this project, we love our fans, we love our Canadian country music family, and we love our friendship. There has been a lot of discussion, tears, mourning and reflection as we face a future without The Lovelocks. (Continued in comments.)
Soul sisters 🙏🏽❤️

Congrats to our dear friend (and Ali’s former boss!) @terriclarkmusic on her induction into the @ccmaofficial Hall of Fame tonight. So deserving and so excited to be here to celebrate this special moment in the career of a woman and a Canadian legend who deserves this so freaking much! ❤️🥂🎉
